By far the smallest mountain village in the area, Mala Tsarkva is easily overlooked. It literally means 'small church' in English and it's nicely set on the edge of a mountain with the majority of properties in the village having highly sought after mountain views. Being so close to Madjare village, many people mistake it as part of Madjare!
Not much larger than a hamlet, Mala Tsvarkva probably has access to some of the most fantastic and unspoilt mountain village of all in this region. Most properties have easy access to the forests surrounding the village and day time activities such as horse riding, rambling and rock climbing have flourished since tourism increased to the area.
Mala Tsarkva has the basic amenities such as a caf? and a village shop which can be found in the small village square. The village does benefit from having regular and reliable public transport links between Govedartsi village and Samokov/Borovets all year round.
The roads, as with all villages in this area, are kept clear in winter time so access is fine all year round.
When the Super Borovets project starts, this village will just be about 3kms from the edge, so from a location point of view, it is excellent. Beli Iskar village will be incorporated into the new mega resort of Borovets and the ski runs will be just 3kms away from Mala Tsarkva so this village is ideal for all ski enthusiasts.
